Welcome to day 4 of the BUILD YOUR BRAND STORY CHALLENGE! 

SO, WHAT IS IT THAT YOU DO?

I BET IF YOU HAD A $1 FOR EVERY TIME SOMEONE HAS ASKED YOU "SO, WHAT DO YOU DO EXACTLY?" THAT YOU'D LIKELY BE A MILLIONAIRE. RIGHT?

TRUTH IS. 

THAT CAN BE A DIFFICULT QUESTION FOR MANY OF US ENTREPRENEURS TO ANSWER BECAUSE WE DON'T WORK IN TRADITIONAL POSITIONS OR HAVE STANDARD JOB TITLES. I KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING THIS CAN BE. YOU FIND YOURSELF FUMBLING OVER YOUR WORDS AND AFTER THE FACT KICKING YOURSELF IN THE BUTT FOR NOT BEING MORE ARTICULATE. 

TODAY- WE'RE GOING GET TO GET CLEAR ON HOW YOU CAN FIX THIS AND START CONFIDENTLY TELLING THE WORLD WHAT YOU DO. 

HERE'S THE THING: YOUR WORK- WHAT YOU DO GOES FAR BEYOND YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION. INSTEAD OF THINKING OF WHAT YOU DO IN RELATION TO TASKS BEGIN APPROACHING IT THE FRAMEWORK OF WHAT YOU REALLY DO-FOR YOUR CLIENTS-IN YOUR BUSINESS.

LET'S SAY YOU'RE A MAKEUP ARTIST:  YOU'RE NOT JUST A MAKEUP ARTIST. YOU CREATE EXCLUSIVE BEAUTY EXPERIENCES THAT HELP WOMEN TAP INTO THEIR INNER BEAUTY. *NO, YOU MAY NOT USE MY EXAMPLE AS YOUR OWN LOL*

MAYBE YOU'RE A BUSINESS COACH: YOU DON'T JUST PROVIDE BUSINESS COACHING. YOU HELP ENTREPRENEURS DEVELOP TRANSFORMATIVE, PROFITABLE AND REPUTABLE BRANDS. 

SPEAKER? YOU DELIVER HEARTFELT MESSAGES THAT IGNITE THE SPARK THAT YOUR AUDIENCE NEEDS IN ORDER TO ELEVATE, SUCCEED AND PROSPER.

yOU SEE, IT'S SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST WHAT YOU DO. IT'S ABOUT THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWERS (YOUR SUPERPOWER) THAT YOU POSSESS THAt MAKE A LASTING IMPACT.

  1. List all of the things that you do in your position.
  2. Now, what do you really do?

  3. List some things that you like about what you do.

  4. Now, list what you love about what you do?

  5. Who are the types of clients/brands that you work with?

  6. Who would you really love to work with (clients, brands)? *You’ll want to keep this in mind as we discuss your audience.*

answering these questions really help you to create your brand messaging and content. the content that will connect you to your audience and potential clients.
